ABOUT
I'm an Actress, with experiences in Lighting Design, Scenic Design, Costume Design, Stage Management, and Directing. Having a round knowledge of the Theatre is very important to me, It means that I know the stress that comes with the design process, and how good it feels to follow through. I graduated high school from Breckenridge High School in Breckenridge Texas, where I competed in Softball, Volleyball, Track, Cross Country, was the feature Twirler, was First Chair Trumpet, and was Treasurer for the Drama Club. When it came to Theatre I had my hand in just about everything. I was an actress, I helped build set, my scenic designs were used, and I choreographed a few songs as well. I moved to San Angelo after graduation and became a Theatre Major at Angelo State University. I have a Bachelors in Theatre Arts with a General Specification, with a minor in German.
Hobbies and Accomplishments
Sports
Sports has always been a huge part of my life. My dad was a coach and so I grew up playing all of the sports I could. I've played Softball, Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, Volleyball, Track, and Tennis. The things that I learned from my experiences while playing really help me in theatre. Being 'coachable' is one of the things that I am proud of, it means I can take instruction and that I have the ability to follow through no matter the challenge. It has also taught me a sense of respect for those above me and shaped me to be the best that I can be.
Longboarding
I took up skating in my free time when I was about twelve. We had a skatepark just outside the softball fields that I grew up playing on. Later on, when I got into college, I started to longboard to get around the campus, and I go out every other weekend and skate for hours.
Singing/Music
II have been singing since I was little, at church, at family reunions and in the shower. I have won a Beauty contest in Breckenridge TX, where my talent was singing. I competed in a Talent show in Lubbock my freshman in high school and I was the Runner-Up. I play the trumpet and was First Chair Trumpet in High School. I also can play the french horn and have been able to read music since I was eight years old. As a child, I took piano lessons for 3-5 years and can practice music at home.
Acting
I am a current student at Angelo State University and have been acting for about 5+ years now. I recieved the Irene Ryan Acting Award for the years 2014, and 2015. I am a voice actor and have recorded several commercials at the local radio station in San Angelo. I also have acted in short films and have experience in acting for the camera..
Dancing
I have been dancing for 4 years and I dance as much as possible. I specialize in Baton Twirling, and can also twirl fire. I took some lessons from the Feature Twirler at Texas Tech for a while, but mostly I taught myself by watching videos on Youtube. I was the Feature Twirler at Breckenridge High School the years 2009-10 through 2012-13.
